The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

Notice is hereby given that:
Sedgemoor District Council is to undertake a review of existing polling districts and polling places within the authority area.

The Acting Returning Officer will make comment on the proposed polling stations and any elector within the authority (ARO) or within a parliamentary constituency inside the authority boundary may make representation.

The authority would welcome any person or organisations with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability to make a representation or comment on existing polling stations, the authority’s proposals, the ARO’s representations or any other relevant matter.

Any person or organisations making representation should, if possible, give alternative places that may be used as polling places.

Representations should be made in writing to the offices of the Acting Returning Officer, Sedgemoor District Council, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR by Friday, 2 nd August 2019.

Notification of Review (the formal commencement) Tuesday, 25th June 2019
Publication of Acting Returning Officer Comments Tuesday, 25th June 2019
End of Consultation period Friday, 2nd August 2019
Sedgemoor District Council Consideration Wednesday, 23rd October 2019
Publication of review result Friday, 1st November 2019
