ROF Bridgwater played an essential part in the manufacturing of defence materials during the Second World War. The project aims to gather as much information as possible to create a historical record of what life was like for those who lived and worked in this important local industry.

Sedgemoor District Council and the South West Heritage Trust are inviting residents to share recollections, photographs and memorabilia at events to be held at the 37 Sports and Social Club at Puriton, near Bridgwater on Saturday November 9 – 10am until 1pm and Wednesday November 13 – 1pm until 4pm.

The ROF Bridgwater is being transformed by its new owners Gravity, into the next generation of innovation campuses with a strong community ethos, continuing the legacy of ROF37.
