Subject: Launch of The Heads Up Training Room – Friday 26 April 2019

We would like to invite you to attend the Launch of The Heads Up Training Room on Friday 26th April at 2pm at Heads Up, Upper Breach, South Horrington, Wells BA5 3QG

Specialist mental health trainers Carolyn Smith & Colin Nash have almost 50 years of experience between them within mental health services, many of them at senior levels in the NHS, local Authorities and a national mental health charity. They will be offering a wide range of mental health training exclusively on behalf of Heads Up.

The government commissioned a report last year called Thriving at Work. This tells us that poor mental health at work is costing employers between £33 and £42 billion a year across the UK – in Somerset alone that is between £132 and £150 million a year.

Please join Carolyn and Colin at the launch event to learn more about the mental health training courses that they will be offering, and how this will benefit our local community.

Please RSVP by Thursday 18th April at the latest claire@headsupsomerset.org.uk

Subject: Save the Date! Somerset VCSE Leaders Conference – Friday 21 June 2019

The Somerset VCSE Leaders’ Conference returns this summer, and will once again provide a great opportunity for Chief Executives, Senior Managers, trustees and leaders of local VCSE sector organisations to meet, network, debate, and hear from a range of local and national sector leaders on a variety of key issues.

The conference is open to leaders of all voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Somerset, and as the number of brilliant organisations and community groups in our county continues to grow, it’s a great opportunity to share learning, and celebrate the work we do.

The conference will be held on Friday 21st June 2019 at Monks Yard – save the date, more details coming soon.
